Cancellation & Refund Policy

14 business days or more prior to the Online Certification Course start date: full credit, credits do not expire.

Less than 14 business days prior to the Online Certification Course start date: no refund or credit under any circumstance. Replacement can be sent, subject to a $25.00 administrative fee.

Cancellations: must be submitted by email.

Change Fees: When registering please use your professional name, correct email and double check spelling is accurate. There is a $25.00 administrative fee for changes made to attendee information once registration is complete.

Replacements: Please notify us of the replacement’s full name and contact information, including their email address prior to the start date.

Technology Liability: Registrants experiencing technical difficulties as a result of, but not limited to user error, personal software malfunction, slow internet connection, etc. will not be refunded under any circumstances. Please see Technology Liability included in Terms and Conditions below.

Credits

In order to redeem your credit please email registration@jackhirose.com with your full name and which course you would like to attend. Please note, registration using a credit must be done manually by our office. Adjustments cannot be made for previous purchases.

Continuing Education Credits

We are accredited by: Canadian Psychological Association (recognized by the Alberta College of Social Workers), Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, Vocational Rehabilitation Association, Canadian Professional Counselling Association, Indigenous Certification Board of Canada, Employee Assistance Certification Commission (EAPA), Canadian College of Professional Counsellors & Psychotherapists. Please note: The number of course credits will vary for each event. Please see the event listing for specific workshop accreditation.

Certificates

Certificates are distributed electronically via a link at the end of the webinar. This link is only provided once the quiz has been taken and a passing grade is achieved. If a participant does not complete the quiz by the predetermined deadline, no extensions will be granted under any circumstances. If the quiz has not been completed, a certificate will not be issued.

Receipts

Receipts are automatically sent by email when participants register and pay online. Please be aware spam filters can block email receipts. Additional copies can be downloaded by logging into your account: My Account – Orders – Download PDF.

Full-Time Student Rates

For full-time student rates, please email webinars@jackhirose.com

prior to purchase. Students are eligible to receive the full time student rate if you meet the following criteria.

1. If you are a full-time student – enrolled in a minimum of 3 courses or 9 credits per semester from a recognized accredited university or institution including but not limited to: Ph.D., Masters, & Bachelor’s degree programs.

2. Attend over 100 hours per semester of course instruction either in-class instruction or online courses.

3. Are able to provide proof of full-time student status. Such as a student transcript or letter of enrolment from your school’s registrar.

Group Rates

Fees are for one individual. Each user receives their own login and password so they can login from home and have access to the video files, handouts and they get a certificate of completion.

The group rate is a discount depending on the number of participants and posted prices are per user, please see the rates below. These discounts can be combined with other offers.

Please note, if a promotional code for a group rate is used the promo code will expire 2 weeks after it is provided to the group leader. If the minimum number of registrants for the group rate are not registered by this time, the group leader will be charged the difference for the outstanding balance.

Group Leaders

Group leaders are responsible for organizing their groups prior to submitting registration forms. Group leaders will be contacted if there are any discrepancies regarding payment or attendance. It is the group leader’s responsibility to provide correct payment, registrant information, etc. once they have been informed.

Additional Members

If you would like to add members to your group, please have the group leader contact webinars@jackhirose.com. Additional member requests must be submitted prior to the air date. Please note, the initial group rate will continue to apply regardless of the number of additional registrants.

Price Adjustments

Please note we are unable to administer price adjustments. If you registered individually and wish to register as a group or have previously registered and wish to receive bundled pricing, you must cancel your individual registration. Our cancellation policy, including a $75 administration fee, will apply.

All coupons must be entered at checkout at the time of purchase in order to receive the discount.  Adjustments will not be given for coupons not entered at checkout.

Group Cancellation Policy

There are no cancellations, refunds, or credits for group rate registrations. Replacements will be subject to a $25.00 administration fee.

Online Certification Course and User Agreement

1. The Hirose Institute is an entity owned and operated by Jack Hirose and Associates Inc.

2. Limited Liability - Our liability is limited to refunds for the Online Certification Course fees only. Jack Hirose & Associates Inc. reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the Online Certification Course. In the unlikely event of an Online Certification Course cancellation, we will issue a full refund for the Online Certification Course fees only. In the unlikely event of Online Certification Course being rescheduled, a refund will not be issued and an extension for the Online Certification Course will apply. Jack Hirose and Associates Inc. will not be responsible for damages or costs associated with a cancelled or rescheduled Online Certification Course. 

3. The contact information provided during registration will be added to our mailing list. Jack Hirose and Associates Inc. will not sell our mailing list or grant access to third parties; you can unsubscribe at any time. To unsubscribe please visit our website.

4. All Online Certification Course content is recorded for quality assurance and may be re-sold on-demand at a later date.

5. Limited License – By purchasing the Online Certification Course, the Participant is granted a single-use, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access, view and use the Online Certification Course. All ownership rights in the intellectual property related to the Online Certification Course remain with the Provider and the Participant may not use or reproduce any of the content in any manner, without the express written consent of the Provider. Seat sharing is forbidden. Any violation of the copyright or trademark rights of the Provider shall result in immediate termination of access to the Online Certification Course without refund.

6. Copyright - The material in the Online Certification Course is covered by the provisions of the Copyright Act (Canada) and by other applicable laws, policies, regulations and international agreements that address intellectual property rights. Except as granted in the limited license, any use of the Online Certification Course, including modification, transmission, presentation, distribution, republication, or other exploitation of the Online Certification Course or of its content, whether in whole or in part, is prohibited without the prior written consent of Jack Hirose and Associates Inc. 

7. Course Registration – The Participant agrees to provide true, accurate, current and complete information as prompted by any registration form and to maintain and promptly update the information to ensure it remains true, accurate, current and complete. The Participant is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account, and for all activities that occur under your account. In consideration of use of the Website, you agree to maintain and update true, accurate, current and complete Registration Data. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if Jack Hirose and Associates Inc. have reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, the Provider may suspend or terminate Online Certification Course access without refund. Jack Hirose and Associates Inc. reserves the right in its sole discretion, to terminate access of the Participant to the Online Certification Course and the related services or any portion thereof at any time, if the Participant becomes disruptive to the Online Certification Course or other participants, fails to follow the guidelines. In the event of a termination of the Online Certification Course, the Participant shall not be entitled to a refund of any portion of the fees and shall not be excused from any remaining payments under a payment plan in the event of such termination. 

8. Legal Disclaimer – Not Professional Advice – Jack Hirose and Associates Inc. provides the information contained in the Online Certification Course to the Participant for informational and educational purposes only. The information contained in the Online Certification Course, including any interactions with instructors, and participation in any social media groups or chats, and shall not be understood or construed as professional advice. The Participant shall be required to use their own judgment in applying the information provided in the Online Certification Course to their own personal and professional circumstances and may wish to get additional advice where appropriate. 

9. Legal Disclaimer – Technology – Jack Hirose and Associates Inc. shall not be liable for any losses or damages of any kind related to any websites, course hosting platforms or any other technology used in the delivery of the Online Certification Program being unavailable or unusable for any reason whatsoever. The Participant hereby agrees that they have the necessary Internet connection and other technology in order to participate fully in the Program. 

10. RELEASE AND INDEMNITY. The Participant hereby agrees to release The Hirose Institute, Jack Hirose and Associates, and their partners, employees, consultants, agents and licensors from, and in no event shall any or all of The Hirose Institute, Jack Hirose and Associates, and their partners, employees, consultants, agents or licensors be liable to you or any other person or entity, for any and all liabilities and damages (including any direct, indirect, special, exemplary or consequential damages, including lost profits) whatsoever arising from your use of the Online Certification Course (including any breach by you thereof), or otherwise relating to this Agreement and you agree that your sole remedy for any claim, loss, damage, costs or expenses is to cease using the Online Certification Course. The Participant will indemnify and hold harmless The Hirose Institute, Jack Hirose and Associates, and its partners, employees, consultants, agents or licensors from and against any claims, losses, judgments, damages, costs and expenses (including without limitation, reasonable legal fees) incurred by any of them due to or resulting from your use of the Online Certfication Course or otherwise relating to this Agreement (including any breach by you thereof). The Participant will also indemnify and hold harmless The Hirose Institute, Jack Hirose and Associates, and their partners, employees, consultants, agents or licensors from and against any claims brought by third parties arising out of your use of the Online Certification Course or its content.
